BAO'S
The lane outside BAO'S, whitewashed walls and painted cobbles with teak tables and stools along the wall under the bougainvillea

Outside, Little Venice

A table in the lane

Tables along the whitewashed lane outside the door, under the bougainvillea, with the whole of Mykonos Town walking past.

The alley is the lane BAO'S opens onto. Painted cobbles underfoot, whitewashed walls on both sides, and bougainvillea hanging right across it overhead.

The tables are teak, fixed along the wall, with stools and a bucket of ice beside them. You are outside, in the middle of town, watching it go past — a different evening from the one at the water, and the one people take photographs of.

Twenty-four euro a head, open all day. The whole lane takes up to fifty when it is taken privately.
