BAO'S
The lounge at BAO'S, rattan chairs around a low table and the sea through the open doors at the end of the room

Inside, Little Venice

The side bar, and the swing

Woven rattan, a hanging swing seat, and the doors thrown open to a wall of turquoise at the end of the room.

The Lounge is the room beside the bar. Rattan chairs around low tables, a swing seat hanging by the doorway, and white walls hung with black wire sculpture.

At the far end the doors open straight onto the water, so the whole room points at the sea. It is the calmest part of BAO'S and the part that stays comfortable all day — it is open from the moment we are, not only in the evening.

Twenty-four euro a head for a table. Taken privately it holds up to fifty, which is the room most birthdays end up in.
